Service booking

A service booking is the record inside the NDIA's system that reserves funding for a specific provider under agency-managed arrangements.

A service booking is a record the NDIA holds in its own systems, confirming that a set amount of funding is reserved for a specific provider to deliver specific supports.

Service bookings apply to agency-managed funding. Self-managed and plan-managed arrangements do not use the same booking system, since payments there run through the participant or their plan manager instead.

A service booking works alongside a service agreement, which is the written terms between participant and provider, rather than replacing it.
