Plan-managed

Plan-managed is one of the three plan management types. Under this arrangement a registered plan manager pays invoices, submits claims to the NDIA, and gives the participant statements of their spending.

A plan-managed participant can engage both registered and unregistered providers, which sits between the flexibility of self-managed funding and the registered-only constraint of agency-managed funding.

How your plan is managed changes who you can buy from and how invoices are paid, and your plan documents state which arrangement applies.
