Unregistered provider

An unregistered provider is a business, sole trader, or individual delivering supports to NDIS participants without going through the NDIS Commission’s formal registration process.

Unregistered providers can be engaged by self-managed and plan-managed participants. Agency-managed funding is paid directly to registered providers, so unregistered providers sit outside that particular payment pathway.

The NDIS Code of Conduct still applies to unregistered providers, requiring honest, safe, and respectful conduct regardless of registration status.
