Plan reassessment
A plan reassessment is the formal process where the NDIA reviews and can change a participant's plan, goals, and budgets.
A plan reassessment is the process the NDIA runs to review a plan before it ends, or earlier if circumstances change significantly. It can lead to new goals, different supports, or a changed budget.
A plan reassessment is not the same as an internal review of a decision a participant disagrees with. Reassessment looks forward at a new plan, while a review examines whether an existing decision was correct.
Either a participant or the NDIA can request a plan reassessment, and the same reasonable and necessary test applies to whatever the new plan includes.
