Worker screening check

A worker screening check is a clearance issued through the NDIS worker screening system, assessing a person’s suitability to work in roles with more than incidental contact with participants.

The check is run by state and territory screening units under a nationally consistent framework overseen by the NDIS Commission, and clearances are valid for a set period before renewal.

Registered providers are required to confirm current worker screening clearances for relevant staff, and the clearance status of an individual worker can be verified through the official register.
