Support item

A support item is a single, coded entry in the Support Catalogue describing a specific support and its price limit.

A support item is the most granular unit in the Support Catalogue. Each one carries a code, a description of what it covers, and a price limit that applies under plan-managed and agency-managed arrangements.

Support items sit inside a support category, which sits inside a budget type, so a single item’s code tells a provider both what the support is and where it belongs in a plan.

Providers use support item codes to invoice correctly, and participants and plan managers use the same codes to check that a charge matches the published catalogue.
