Providers can claim for some of the time and distance spent travelling to deliver a support, within limits the Pricing Arrangements set. This calculator takes the remoteness zone, the travel minutes, and the kilometres for a trip, then applies those published rules. It reports what the rules allow for that trip and leaves the claim to you.
What can be claimed for travel
Travel claiming has two parts: labour time spent travelling, charged at the support’s rate up to a cap, and vehicle running costs per kilometre. The rules set who can claim, how far, and up to what limit, and they differ by remoteness zone.
The remote and very remote loadings that lift price limits also matter for travel. Those loadings are shown above, drawn from the constants file, so you can see the figures the live calculator will apply.
Reading the outcome
The result describes what the rules permit for the trip you entered. It is a reading of the Pricing Arrangements, not a decision about a specific booking or service agreement.
Travel terms are worth agreeing with the participant up front, because a service agreement can set how travel is handled within the rules. Where the two differ, the service agreement and current Pricing Arrangements are the documents to check.
